Parking Scheme Information for 2012-13
The University is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and this includes, where possible, reducing the number of vehicles being brought to the University on a daily basis. The City and St. Peter's Campus car parks experience a great deal of congestion, particularly during Term 1. Facilities are working hard to discourage non-essential car use and promote more environmentally friendly options. These include discounted Metro, bus and train travel (Exclusive to the University of Sunderland) as well as providing additional facilities for cyclists and those who car share. University permit holders are invited to question themselves as to whether they really need to bring their cars to work or whether there are alternative options. The parking costs for the 2012-13 year are as follows:
- Full time staff annual permit: £315.12(£26.26 per month)
- Part time staff annual permit: £157.56(£13.13 per month)
- Staff and Student Pay and Display: 30p per hour up to a maximum of £1.20 per day
- Visitor Parking: £1.50 per hour

Facilities will be accepting applications from staff for the 2012/13 academic year from 6th August 2012 and students from the 1st September 2012.
You can apply for your 2012/13 permit by clicking on the below link which will take you to the application section of Permit Gateway. You should then select "Permit Application."

The application forms are also available on-line through "My Sunderland", clicking "Parking Gateway" in the purple stripe at the bottom of the page and then selecting "Permit Application."
All existing scheme members, including Annual/Salary Mandate permit holders, must re-apply for their 2012/13 permit. This is to ensure that all the information we hold is up to date.
In order to apply you will need your staff payroll/student number and your vehicle make, model and registration number.
Please remember to enter your swipe card number (if applicable) so that it can be updated for the 2012-13 year. If omitted, the swipe card will expire on 30th September 2013.
