Welcome to Project Accounts

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Projects Accounts Team include:

  • assisting Faculties and Services to manage externally funded activities including research contracts, grants and commercial activity
  • assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts both at individual project level and consolidated at Faculty/Service level
  • the production of management information and financial reports to assist Faculties/Services manage their portfolio of projects  
  • the production of the annual budget in conjunction with the Management Accounts and Planning sections within Planning & Finance
  • in year re-forecasting of financial outturn
  • the preparation of financial claims for project activity undertaken
  • liaising with external stakeholders to ensure the efficient audit and monitoring of project activity
  • liaising with Deans, Directors and Project Managers to review financial performance of projects to ensure the maximum financial benefit to The University is achieved.
