Letter Service

On-campus students

If you are on-campus and need a letter please come into the Gateway where your letter will be produced while you wait. 


Off-campus students

If you need a letter, then feel free to email the Gateway Team at gateway@sunderland.ac.uk and we shall see what we can do!

All email requests for letters must supply the following information:

  • Title
  • Surname
  • Forename
  • Date of Birth
  • Student Number.


Important!

Please check what additional information you need to supply when you email us, as well as other details, depending on the type of letter that you need.

Letter types

  • Attendance Letter
  • Council Tax Letter - Please note that students can only get ONE Council Tax Letter during an academic year.
  • Bank Letter - You must supply the following additional information in your email: your International address, UK address and the Bank you are going to open an account with.
  • Greek Army Letter - You must supply the following additional information in your email: your Father's name and your Passport number.
  • Other Letter - You must specify what do you need and who the letter will be given to.
