For advice on people management, equal opportunities issues; role reviews and gradings, organisational reviews; disciplinary, capability and grievance cases; absence management; employment law; policy development; trade union partnership, negotiation and consultation.

Includes HR Managers and Adviser who are responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of people management and employee relations activities to managers and staff within the University.  The team operates a client support model, working closely with managers and staff in nominated Faculties and Services.

Includes HR Strategic Development who are responsible for staff training and development courses, appraisal, and information on our organisational standards including charter mark and investors in people. Recruitment

For support with: drafting and placing advertisements; liaising with Employment Agencies; job applications and information; job interviews; references; contract changes; new starters and leavers.  We also deal with probation, maternity leave, annual leave, and interview expenses.
