Sexuality
The University of Sunderland aims to create an environment in which all staff and students, whatever their sexuality, feel equally welcome and valued, and in which discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated. This aim is supported by Government legislation, more detail of which can be found here.

We have developed a policy on sexual orientation which seeks to ensure everyone is treated with equal dignity and respect, regardless of their sexuality.
The University also has Staff and Student groups in place which offer support and advice as well as the opportunity improve the experience of others. Additionally, we feature LGB issues on Spark FM, our community radio station.
