National Framework Agreement
The National Framework Agreement (NFA) is an agreement at national level between Higher Education employers and trade unions on pay and grading structures.
The NFA is aimed at ensuring fairness and equality in pay, by ensuring that organisations have pay structures which are based on job evaluation, and that staff at each grade have the same terms, conditions and benefits.
The University implemented the NFA in partnership with local trade unions, with involvement from senior managers and staff across the organisation. The NFA was a University-wide project, with Human Resources coordinating the HERA job evaluation process. Agreement was reached with both Unions. Implementation took place in August 2007, backdated to August 2006.
Our local Agreement is available for staff only. You will be asked to sign in using your email username and password. If you do not know your username and password please contact the IT Services helpdesk on telephone extension 2992.
