Payroll Commitment...

Our aim is to deliver an effective and efficient payroll service that achieves the core payroll objectives to pay everyone accurately and on time. The HR vision to create a supporting working environment where staff feel highly valued and motivated is a key objective in the delivery of the payroll service. The payroll team work together with a wide variety of stakeholders across the University from line managers, Senior Managers to the wider Finance and Human Resource team to meet the University objectives both from a financial and people perspective.

The Payroll Strategy aims to not only meet, but exceed payroll service through continual improvements and a customer care ethos. Within the framework the aim is to assist managers, employees and key stakeholders in ensuring that the University delivers a robust and accurate payroll service to all employees. We aim to achieve this by supporting key stakeholders in meeting key deadlines that enable us to pay employees accurately and on time.  In short, we are seeking to create a positive payroll experience.

Everyone involved in the processing, authorising and payment of employee salaries has a responsibility to ensure that all staff are treated fairly and professionally, in line with University principles. This is achieved through clarity, fairness and courtesy, coupled with service excellence and customer care.
