Welcome to Student Recruitment and Business Partnerships (SRBP)
The Student Recruitment and Business Partnerships Service was established in February 2007 with the intention of providing a redefined focus for the co-ordination of recruitment activity and relationship management across the University.
The Service is tasked with working in partnership with Academic Faculties and Services (and vice versa) to achieve the agreed UK and international student recruitment targets, building and supporting the management of both private and public sector partnerships in relation to the recruitment of students, widening participation activity/aspiration building and related activities. In giving the Service a redefined focus and facilitating the creation of the Business Gateway there is now a greater coordination of relationships and developments with external partners in respect of off campus student activity and external income generation, including the development of clear strategies in line with University aims.
The new Service has created a strong staff group, committed to the `business development' of the University in its widest sense, providing a strong level of support to Faculties for recruitment, partnership building, income generation, engagement with regional stakeholders, business, professions and the community to mutual advantage including economic, regeneration and community benefits.
The Service is also responsible for the admissions, student records management and management information and system development functions of the University including statutory returns.
Improving the student experience is a key focus of the Service, and we strive to provide a quality service in every aspect of the work with students, whether they are full-time, part-time, franchise, UK, EU, overseas or work based; providing pre entry support, guidance through the admissions and enrolment process and then a wider range of support during their time with us via the University's Student Gateway, the University's one stop shop for student support.
