Physical Activity & Wellness
The Physical Activity & Wellness programme is aimed at all staff and students at the University. There are a range of physical activities, awareness days and fairs that take place at the University in order to make it easier for staff and students to learn more about health issues and participate in some form of activity.
We are being constantly reminded of the importance of leading a physically active lifestyle and the benefits it will bring:
- losing weight
- reducing the risk of heart disease and
- being able to enjoy life to the full.
We offer a range of activities and classes where you can enjoy a physically active lifestyle in a pleasant, relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
There are opportunities to get involved in activities through the campus sport leagues, campus walks and 'Come & try it' sessions and the range of classes available in City Space gives both beginners and exercise enthusiasts a choice from a comprehensive timetable, covering everything from Pilates to circuits.
