The University wishes to provide employees with more opportunities to balance work and personal life, while ensuring that any such arrangements are beneficial to the business.
The University already offers generous contractual annual leave (holiday) entitlements to staff, which vary by grade. This procedure allows employees to apply to buy up to four weeks (pro-rata) of additional annual leave. The additional annual leave is effectively unpaid, since the cost is deducted from the employee’s net pay.
