A Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) is an engineering control system used to reduce exposure to airborne contaminants in the workplace such as aerosols, dust, mist, fume, vapour or gas. LEV systems capture airborne contaminants at the point of generation, preventing inhalation by workers in the vicinity.
