Hiking is a great way to explore your local area, and get fit at the same time. Whether it's the rolling hills of Northumberland or the dramatic coast of North Durham our monthly walks will get you out and about and walking off the stress of university life.
Our university mini bus will pick you up for free and transport you to that months hike where you will then be guided by members of staff along the hike, given the chance to stop and take in the scenery and enjoy the fresh air!
Our hikes are designed to get you exercising without you realizing and will involve walking in the mud and climbing over styles, but are designed for all levels of fitness and open to all.
Our next hike is;
Durham River Hike on Tuesday 17th April. The hike is 5 miles long and will include a visit to Durham Cathedral, all free for students. We meet in CitySpace at 9am to hop on our University mini bus which will drive us to the start of the hike at Maiden Castle which is also where we will get picked up from and driven back to Cityspace for the latest of 15:00.
