The University of Sunderland’s Graduate Internship Scheme is a great way for you to launch your chosen career. All of our Graduate Internships are paid a minimum annual salary of £18,000 per annum and opportunities are available across a range of different sectors and industries. The vast majority of internships are with companies who are local to Sunderland, and all are located in the North East region.
The University of Sunderland has been offering full time paid Graduate Internships for over 10 years, working with small to medium sized business who are going through a very exciting time of growth.
Working for an SME provides you with a level of flexibility and not only will you be focusing on the responsibilities that comes with your new job but you will also get the opportunity to gain experience in other parts of the business, expanding your experience and knowledge as you grow with the company.
If you are successfully appointed you will be working full time for the company with the support of the University of Sunderland throughout your first 12 months. During your first year you are able to showcase your graduate level skills and competencies, whilst gaining practical experience with a local employer. Around 9 out of 10 of our Graduate Internships become permanent following the 12 month internship period.
The Graduate Internship schee is funded through European Regional Development Funding.
