Student representatives for research are elected via Schools, and this process will be organised by your Research Student Managers. Student representatives will attend the Faculty Post-graduate Research Degree Sub-committees which are held twice per term. Invites will be sent out via the relevant Graduate Research Support Administrator.  Role of the Faculty Post-graduate Research Degree Sub-committee Terms of Reference

Two student representatives will be asked to attend the University Post-graduate Research Degree Sub-committee which is also held twice per term and this will be arranged via the Academic Director of Post-Graduate Research, with assistance from the Graduate Research Programme Co-ordinator. All student representatives are required to attend Student Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs). The purpose of the SSLC is to provide a student-centred environment in which student representatives can raise any issues of concern regarding their degree programmes.
